After exploring Portland we road-tripped east over the Cascades and across the barren deserts of the Oregon outback. Here we found a hostile territory full of cattle ranches cowboys, and sage brush. We soak in hot springs, hiked ancient rock formations, and got stuck in some late season blizzards as we snaked our way down past Crater Lake to the California border.
